Esse superaquecimento j\u00e1 representa um desafio para data centers em todo o mundo e pode se transformar em um gargalo para o desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias em poucos anos.<\/p>\n<p>Para contornar esse problema, a <a href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Microsoft\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft<\/a> anunciou ter validado em laborat\u00f3rio um novo sistema de resfriamento por microflu\u00eddica. A t\u00e9cnica cria canais microsc\u00f3picos no pr\u00f3prio chip, permitindo que o l\u00edquido refrigerante circule diretamente pelo sil\u00edcio e retire o calor de forma mais eficiente.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fenati.org.br\/trabalhadora-surda-recebera-r-100-mil-apos-sofrer-assedio-moral\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LEIA: Trabalhadora surda receber\u00e1 R$ 100 mil ap\u00f3s sofrer ass\u00e9dio moral<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Segundo a empresa, os primeiros testes mostraram desempenho at\u00e9 tr\u00eas vezes superior em compara\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s placas frias, solu\u00e7\u00e3o avan\u00e7ada usada atualmente na maior parte dos data centers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>O que muda com essa inova\u00e7\u00e3o?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>De acordo com a Microsoft, a microflu\u00eddica conseguiu reduzir em at\u00e9 65% o aumento de temperatura em GPUs, dependendo do tipo de carga de trabalho. Al\u00e9m disso, a companhia afirma ter usado recursos de intelig\u00eancia artificial para identificar os pontos de calor mais cr\u00edticos e direcionar o l\u00edquido com maior precis\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA microflu\u00eddica permitiria projetos com maior densidade de energia, que habilitariam mais recursos com os quais os clientes se importam e proporcionariam melhor desempenho em um espa\u00e7o menor\u201d, afirmou Judy Priest, vice-presidente corporativa e diretora t\u00e9cnica de Opera\u00e7\u00f5es e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o em Nuvem da Microsoft. Ela ressaltou ainda que, ap\u00f3s comprovar a efic\u00e1cia do sistema, o pr\u00f3ximo passo ser\u00e1 avaliar sua confiabilidade em diferentes cen\u00e1rios.<\/p>\n<p>Hoje, a maioria dos data centers utiliza placas frias, em que o l\u00edquido passa por canais posicionados sobre os chips. No entanto, o contato indireto com o sil\u00edcio reduz a efici\u00eancia, j\u00e1 que camadas intermedi\u00e1rias atuam como barreiras t\u00e9rmicas.
