A empresa chinesa Highlander vai iniciar, neste m\u00eas, os testes de um data center subaqu\u00e1tico pr\u00f3ximo \u00e0 cidade de <a href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Xangai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Xangai<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A proposta \u00e9 reduzir drasticamente o consumo de energia usado na refrigera\u00e7\u00e3o dos servidores, um dos maiores custos operacionais para empresas de tecnologia e telecomunica\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fenati.org.br\/ia-pode-injetar-us-1-trilhao-ao-pib-da-america-latina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LEIA: IA pode injetar US$ 1 trilh\u00e3o ao PIB da Am\u00e9rica Latina, aponta relat\u00f3rio<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Projetos desse tipo j\u00e1 foram realizados em car\u00e1ter experimental por companhias como a Microsoft, que testou a tecnologia na Esc\u00f3cia, e por outras iniciativas na pr\u00f3pria China. No entanto, o projeto da Highlander ser\u00e1 o primeiro a entrar em opera\u00e7\u00e3o comercial, oferecendo seus servi\u00e7os a empresas privadas e estatais.<\/p>\n<p>No sistema, os servidores s\u00e3o acondicionados em c\u00e1psulas de a\u00e7o e submersos no fundo do mar, onde as baixas temperaturas naturais auxiliam no resfriamento. A empresa estima que a t\u00e9cnica pode economizar at\u00e9 90% da energia normalmente utilizada em sistemas convencionais de refrigera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disso, 95% da energia do data center vir\u00e1 de fontes renov\u00e1veis, principalmente de parques e\u00f3licos marinhos, o que reduz consideravelmente a pegada de carbono do empreendimento. A estrutura \u00e9 composta por uma parte submersa e outra na superf\u00edcie, conectadas por um elevador interno que facilita o deslocamento de t\u00e9cnicos e equipamentos.<\/p>\n<p>Entre os primeiros clientes est\u00e3o a China Telecom, uma das maiores provedoras de telecomunica\u00e7\u00f5es do pa\u00eds, e uma empresa p\u00fablica especializada em computa\u00e7\u00e3o baseada em IA.<\/p>\n<p>O projeto exigiu uma s\u00e9rie de inova\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e9cnicas. Para evitar danos causados pela corros\u00e3o da \u00e1gua salgada, as c\u00e1psulas foram revestidas com placas de vidro, garantindo que os servidores n\u00e3o entrem em contato direto com o ambiente marinho.
