O feito, divulgado pela imprensa chinesa nesta segunda-feira (3), representa um avan\u00e7o significativo no desenvolvimento de fontes de energia nuclear praticamente inesgot\u00e1veis.<\/p>\n<p>A experi\u00eancia foi conduzida pelo Instituto de F\u00edsica Aplicada de Xangai, em uma instala\u00e7\u00e3o localizada no Deserto de Gobi. De acordo com o jornal South China Morning Post (SCMP), trata-se da \u201cprimeira vez no mundo que cientistas obt\u00eam dados experimentais sobre opera\u00e7\u00f5es com t\u00f3rio dentro de um reator de sal fundido\u201d, em um \u201cpasso importante para o futuro da energia nuclear limpa e sustent\u00e1vel\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fenati.org.br\/brasil-paises-expostos-fraudes-digitais-mundo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LEIA: Brasil \u00e9 um dos pa\u00edses mais expostos a fraudes digitais no mundo<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>O resultado desperta grandes expectativas, j\u00e1 que o t\u00f3rio \u00e9 um elemento muito mais abundante e acess\u00edvel do que o ur\u00e2nio. Estimativas indicam que um \u00fanico dep\u00f3sito de rejeitos na regi\u00e3o chinesa da Mong\u00f3lia Interior possui t\u00f3rio suficiente para suprir a demanda energ\u00e9tica do pa\u00eds por mais de mil anos.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo o analista e pesquisador Yu Zeyuan, o avan\u00e7o \u201c\u00e9 considerado a \u2018carta na manga\u2019 da China na energia nuclear de quarta gera\u00e7\u00e3o, marcando o dom\u00ednio de uma tecnologia-chave que permite ao pa\u00eds avan\u00e7ar rapidamente, reduzir a depend\u00eancia do ur\u00e2nio importado e oferecer uma nova solu\u00e7\u00e3o para sua seguran\u00e7a energ\u00e9tica\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Em artigo publicado no portal ThinkChina, Zeyuan lembrou que os recursos de t\u00f3rio j\u00e1 identificados na China somam entre 1,3 e 1,4 milh\u00e3o de toneladas.
