Na segunda-feira (19), uma forte eje\u00e7\u00e3o de massa coronal, enorme nuvem de part\u00edculas lan\u00e7ada pelo Sol, atingiu o campo magn\u00e9tico da Terra, desencadeando uma tempestade geomagn\u00e9tica severa, classificada como G4, um dos n\u00edveis mais elevados dessa escala.<\/p>\n<p>A explos\u00e3o respons\u00e1vel foi de classe X1.9, considerada a mais intensa, e levou apenas um dia para percorrer os cerca de 147 milh\u00f5es de quil\u00f4metros que separam o Sol do planeta. O impacto teve efeitos vis\u00edveis e t\u00e9cnicos. No c\u00e9u, <a href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aurora_polar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">auroras boreais<\/a> surgiram em regi\u00f5es onde o fen\u00f4meno \u00e9 extremamente incomum, como o norte de Portugal e \u00e1reas do sul dos Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fenati.org.br\/harpia-o-supercomputador-da-petrobras\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>LEIA: Harpia: o supercomputador da Petrobras que re\u00fane a pot\u00eancia de milh\u00f5es de smartphones<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m do espet\u00e1culo visual, o evento acendeu alertas em diversos setores. Tempestades geomagn\u00e9ticas dessa magnitude podem interferir no funcionamento de sat\u00e9lites, sistemas de GPS e at\u00e9 redes de energia el\u00e9trica, exigindo aten\u00e7\u00e3o redobrada de operadores e autoridades.<\/p>\n<p>A atividade solar recente tamb\u00e9m chamou aten\u00e7\u00e3o pelo n\u00edvel de radia\u00e7\u00e3o emitido. A tempestade foi considerada a mais intensa em termos de radia\u00e7\u00e3o desde 2003, alcan\u00e7ando o n\u00edvel S4 de radia\u00e7\u00e3o solar, o mais elevado.<\/p>\n<p>Esses epis\u00f3dios ocorrem quando a energia acumulada em manchas solares \u00e9 liberada de forma abrupta, lan\u00e7ando plasma e part\u00edculas carregadas pelo espa\u00e7o. Neste caso, a nuvem atingiu a Terra com uma orienta\u00e7\u00e3o que facilitou a entrada dessa energia no campo magn\u00e9tico do planeta, como se tivesse se \u201cencaixado\u201d nele.<\/p>\n<p>Em Portugal, registros de auroras foram feitos em cidades como Bragan\u00e7a, Vila Pouca de Aguiar e Gr\u00e2ndola, algo extremamente raro no pa\u00eds, segundo o Euronews. Fen\u00f4menos semelhantes tamb\u00e9m foram relatados em locais distantes entre si, como Alemanha, Hungria, China e Canad\u00e1. As luzes apareceram em tons de verde, vermelho e magenta, vis\u00edveis em latitudes muito baixas para esse tipo de ocorr\u00eancia, longe das regi\u00f5es polares.<\/p>\n<p>Apesar da intensidade do epis\u00f3dio, a expectativa \u00e9 de enfraquecimento ao longo desta ter\u00e7a-feira (20). Ainda assim, operadores de sat\u00e9lites e de sistemas cr\u00edticos seguem monitorando a situa\u00e7\u00e3o.
